    Updates every few days


    For the past few months my Xbox one has needed an update when i turn it on. I have it setup to update while in sleep mode so updates can happen when I'm not using it. Every few days I have to update it. After numerous "there was a problem with the update" it will complete but a few days later it happens again. Its wired directly to the the modem. What is happening?

    From the outside looking in (as I'm not a preview member), may I humbly suggest that if you don't want these daily updates you should pull out of the program? As for whether or not these updates are mandatory, I guess we should wait and see whether any other
    preview members have got the same prob?

    Windows 11 and I check for updates every day. This problem didn’t start happening until I updated the controller firmware a few days ago.

    Way too many updates

    If you are getting updates every few days, then your console is probably in the Xbox insider program. To stop the updates from happening every few days, then you need to launch the Xbox insider hub, and remove the console from the insider program.

    If your console is not in the insider program, then your console has probably just updated to the July update, you won't get another one until the next public update is released.

    I think it is. If you don't mind getting forced updates every few days I'd say go for it!

    This is a known issue and at the moment there is no fix of timeline for this.

    I would keep an eye on the forums and twitter every few days for updates.
