  1. Updates disable all IR Blasting

Every time I get an update (including yesterday's update), it disables all IR blasting on my XBox One-- all control of the TV, set top box, and A/V receiver stops working including channel control, power on/off, etc. The only way to work around this is
to reset the A/V system (in the Troubleshooting menu) which means I have to go through a complicated process to re-program my STB, A/V Receiver, and TV.

In the last couple of months I've discovered that this can happen even without getting an update.. One day I'll turn on my XBox and find out that IR Blasting is disabled and I have to reprogram all of my devices.

I've had this problem since launch. Even returning the XBox to factory defaults didn't help.

Is this a known problem or do I have defective hardware?

    Thanks

    :)

    X Box One IR Code

The Xbox One with Kinect allows IR blasting and is not a receiver, so no IR remote can control the X1

Contolling tv volume without the IR Blasting?

Why can I not get volume controls w/o IR blasting? I use a monitor and klipch computer speakers. Neither have IR capabilities. This would be not matter if xbox one had the option too change the volume of the xbox one master volume and bypass IR blasting.
You could just turn leave the volume up at the highest you would ever need it and let the xbox control the volume.

It's so dumb that this is not an option in the first place. IR blasting is such a better idea?

This is quite an unusual behavior and you may probably phone the support to have your console serviced, especially where even a factory reset did not fix your issue.

I captured the ir blasts and it seems that nothing is sent after the whole number. no ir blast seems to be sent for the "." or the trailing integer .

Xbox wont turn on my tv

We have now had the UK TV update, Xbox still will not turn my TV on. I have messed with the IR delay I have faffed with the power settings. It simply does not IR blast long enough for the tv to turn on. Everything else works. It is very frustrating. My TV
does support TV ON commands. So why cant you just have another option in the power setting so your choices would be Turn on / Toggle / Do Nothing / Turn on with Long IR Blast.

It cant be that difficult to code a longer IR Blast. Any Ideas as to when this will be fixed.

After NXOE, Kinect no longer sends signals for volume control, all else is fine

Mine is doing the same thing but my TV is a LG. I also checked with the phone camera for the IR blast during and after TV setup. During TV control setup I get the IR blast for mute and volume up and it controls the tv. But after setup just sitting on the
new NXOE build I do not get the IR blast for the Mute or and volume commands and every other IR blast command works that I tried besides those.
