    Ahoy all.

    Ever since the "Summer Update" (Nov 2016) for the Xbox One I've noticed that if I try install an update or download something the connection is extremely slow. Around 10% of its usual speed.

    I live in Australia and my isp is iiNet. I have an ADSL2+ connection that has a usual pull of 13Mb, However as above this drops to 0.3Mb - 1.3Mb when downloading games and apps.

    I've done all the trouble shooting, and even found that using the Xbox's speed test I get my usual full download speed of 13Mb, consistent with speedtest.net readouts for PC and other devices using my home network. However game and app downloads remain extremely
    low, even stopping periodically and take AGES to begin.

    I have manually changed my DNS settings in the Xbox's network settings to google's (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) as well as Open DNS settings:

    208.67.222.222 /208.67.220.220

    Both of which instantly increased the download speed back up to 13Mb, making me believe that the problem is actually to do with my isp rather
    than my own equipment.

    Just wanted to check if anyone else has ran into the same problem before I contact my isp?

    Side point; Also since the update my 'installed games' disappear from the my games list and are found in 'ready to install', I unplug/replug
    the portable hard drive their on and eventually they pop back into the my games list, but has any one had this prob also?

    Downloaded Games on Demand won't launch

    All of my Games on Demand that I downloaded won't launch. The screen just freezes in "My Games." Same goes for apps like IE and Youtube. They do launch sometimes after an extremely long wait but they run slow or crash eventually. On top of that when I
    try to download something some items will stop altogether and "Can't comple this download" appears is the green pop up. Am I screwed or is anyone else seeing this? BTW I can play disc based games.

    LONG/ERROR GAME DOWNLOADS... CANT ENTER GAMES AFTER DOWNLOADS

    Extremely slow game downloads on my brand new xbox one. Sometime will download fine and then an error will happen and keep happening and stop the download. Then after restarting and reinstalling the game sometimes it will complete the download but then I
    cant enter the game. Also once the game downloads, it seems to LAG/Slow down everything else on my xbox... Please Help!

    Hi

    As mentioned, you just have to pause the update to stop it from downloading not cancel altogether. You can even update one game or app at a time.

    Go a step further and power cycle your router/network too (as well as the console again) and let us know if that makes a difference.

    That was my first thought too, maybe too much cache built up. Still super slow after a power cycle though.

    Power cycle your console. Occasionally download speeds will drop for no apparent reason and a quick power cycle has a tendency to flush out the issue.

    i have been installing master chief collection updates for over 24 hours total bs,!!!tried all remedies from forums etc... stopped put in forza same thing 60 percent updating all day.is this normal? says i can play but wondering if games will run perfect
