Updated Xbox one after not being on it, EVERYTHING deleted????

Ok, so I haven’t been on my Xbox one for a bit (like a month?) because the disc drive is busted, but I logged in and it had an update. I updated it figuring all was good and when it finished absolutely everything was deleted. All games, all saves, it was like a soft reset had been done. All that remains is the account, but even that is missing settings like my background preferences and such. What could have caused this?? I’m so worried my cloud saves will be messed up, and all my other saves that aren’t cloud are lost. This is so angering!! I had so much time on these games and it’s all gone, hundreds of not thousands of hours.

It's difficult to know the cause of the problem if it could be a problem with the console's storage or the update was misapplied.

If you were playing connected to the internet the progress of the games is uploaded to the Cloud automatically. Unfortunately, the progress that was saved on the console was lost.

juulchamp - Nope, no red lights at all. Everything's fine besides this one game.

titusvmcc - Yeah the only thing I didn't delete was the hardened edition package that came with it. Should I try deleting that? I deleted the update and downloaded it again. It let me into a match but after the match was over, my xbox froze.

When I redownloaded after deleting everything including the cache it had me download the update. So should I delete the cash again?

I also had this issue after downloading the latest update. I deleted my profile, cleared the cache on everything connected to the xbox,deleted the update and reformatted my drive. When it restarted it downloaded the update again then i downloaded my profile
and it finally worked. Hope this helps everyone also.
