Discus and support Updated failed in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; before I even test the Xbox Live it has to update and when I push update and it starts loading the Xbox has that message that says updated failed error...     before I even test the Xbox Live it has to update and when I push update and it starts loading the Xbox has that message that says updated failed error message come up with the huge long code I don't know what to do to fix it please help

    Have you cleared your cache? have you moved you Game folder and saves onto a USB drive and deleted it from the HDD and tried to start the update again? have you installed the game to the HDD and tried to update again? are your ports forwarded on the router?
    (if no please supply your make and model of the router)

    Hey, ComicBinkie2869, I'm sorry that this had to happened with your Xbox console. Maybe something is wrong with your console or the update is not trying to be applied to your console. This normally happens because your console might be old or not functioning
    well.

    I'd recommending running through all steps in
    this thread     first so we know the results of all steps. If this doesn't resolve the problem then I'd recommend creating a new thread in the 00 - 2013 Xbox Dashboard Update forums

    The Uninstall thing seems like a new bug / feature added in the latest dash.

    Let's hope they fix it soon.

    I am also experiencing same error. Power recycling does not fix it. I have downloaded update 3 times to no avail.

    I actually had that error of: 3143-397F-1600-2203-C000-0001 on my one console and if I remember correctly that means that the console has been modified or tampered with. I didn't do anything with my console but I found mine was refurbished and so it was
    opened by someone other then Microsoft. If you call into the Xbox Support line they can tell you for sure.
