When I fired up Ghosts last night it downloaded and update. Seeing the last update was on 3/4 I cannot seem to find what it was for. Anyone else get it also?

Xbox live auto-renewal

Section 6.2 of the Terms of Use -

Once we have informed you that the Service will be provided indefinitely or automatically renewed, we may automatically renew your Service and charge you for any renewal term in accordance with the subscription offer terms we present to you prior to your
payment for the Service which terms may be updated upon written notice (including email) to you. In some cases, you may have the option to create or renew a subscription with a prepaid card instead of your payment method. Your Service may be cancelled at
the end of your subscription term if you do not have a billing account or have not elected to auto-renew your subscription with a charge to your payment method, or you have not entered a prepaid card for purposes of renewing your Service. If you sign up for
an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership or other Xbox LIVE paid subscription using a prepaid card, your subscription will continue but will downgrade to a free Xbox LIVE membership at the end of your pre-purchase paid membership period, regardless of whether you have
a billing account. To maintain your paid membership, you must set your account to automatically renew with a charge to your payment method, or you must enter a new prepaid card.

any word....

....if this upcoming BF3 is gonna have any large "easter egg" DLC like the Vietnam expansion for BC2....i.e., is this sort of practice gonna become the norm for DICE games.

another Vietnam expansion would be cool....maybe some downtown Saigon battles like a "rush" style game where you try to attack/defend the embassy as it's being evac'd .....if they do throw another Vietnam expansion please please give us nepalm strikes, and
realistic claymores ...not those "shortbus special" claymores with the glowing lines on the screen from COD....

doesn't have to be Vietnam either....how 'bout Korea circa 1950, or even WW1....give us a 1943'ish game with trenches, fixed MG's a few WW1 vehicles (mosquito tanks, sopwith camels) and fixed classes....or even a console HD updated version of 2142...think
of the possibilities......later on ofcourse, not right after release

Yes, preview is the problem, but if you want to quit preview, you have to wipe your Xbox and if you have some hundred gigs thats a pain. Microsoft should first give explicit info that if you join preview you get updates all the time and also inform that
you will lose everything on your box if you quit preview. The option to just stop preview without wiping should ofcourse be a part of this deal but thats to much service I guess......

Kids was gonna watch their favoritetvshow now, but they cant cause its the daily halfanhour stupid update..... What where you thinking on this one Ms? Can it be more annoying?

the updates/....which have taken up my ava hdd space on my xbox????and can this be done w/o deleting any of the game info? thanks.

the updates dont really take any space, they replace files, as for the hdd space being used, after format and system reserved space is taken into account you have approx 340gb of space available for game storage.

If you have say call of duty ww2 installed thats approx 80gb or more then halo 5 thats over 100gb in size.

games these days take a huge amount of space, nothing you do will give you more free space without deleting existing games.

Hi David,

The updates are actully important. Sometimes they will be bug fixes to stop crashes and other problems, Sometimes they will be security updates and some will add new features to make your gaming experience better.

I understand the frustration at turning on the xbox for a quick gaming session and been faced with an update instead, ive done this before also. But they are for the best otherwise you could be here reporting you cant play on your xbox because of constant
crashes instead.

As for filling your storage i would recommend buying a external storage. Unfortunately there isnt a single storage device big enough to fit the vast games xbox has available so the only option is to remove games or invest in a external storage device.
