Update, update, update... enough already!!!

Is there a way to ave XBox One automatically update in the middle of the night so everytime I turn it on to watch television i'm not waiting forever every damn day for it to update.

Software updates

There's already been one update I believe? I can't remember what it fixed - not much - but hopefully shows updates will be coming more frequently.

In a way MS can't win - if they deploy updates all the time, the fanboys and media will jump all over it as "proof" the console that shipped was/is broken. Not enough updates and the actual users will suffer...

Hi Rambo,

Yes this is possible:

Go to Settings.

Select Power & Startup.

Set power mode to Instant-on.

Make sure the Automatically download updates and purchases box is ticked.

Unfortunately I’ve already tried this. All are updated (had to plug the faulty controller in so it would stay on) and they’ve all been updated to the latest. Oddly enough the faulty controller was already up to date and the controller that works had to be updated.

Hey there UKD MANTRONIX and SpartanChick316 as i stated they are pre-loading the update which can be seen as a good thing.

You can opt out of the program at any given time by following the steps FearedNightmare has made, if you wish to stay in the program then there isn't much you can do stop these updates.

If your part of the preview program you will get updates very often, if you don't like this may I suggest that you leave the preview program.

Its your decision, but if you want to test the latest features you cant complain when you get regular updates.
