Update today reset my console

The update today reset my console to its default factory settings. Once I was able to log in I found all of my apps and games had been erased and will all need to be reinstalled.

Xbox One controller issue

Whenever my controller stops working, a hard console reset fixes it. Did it today actually.

There was a problem with the update- Error code 0x8B05000C

Turn on Xbox One X on today and it give me some update error, couldn't use the console online. Tried hard resets 10 times, did it all. Reset the console and now it still gives me an update error, thing is now I can't use it even in offline mode.

As long as you can log into your profile, and redownload all your games, you wont have lost any saved progress, considering that all games are saved to the cloud saved games.

Yeah, just have to wait the HOURS AND HOURS to download and install games, updates, content, profiles, apps, etc. I might be able to play a game again in about two days. Freaking Microsoft...fix your system!

I mean I think I deserve to know why I was asked to install and update yet others werent. It reset my xbox to day one.

1) why download all games at the same time? why not download the games that you are actually going to play

2) If you have a disc version of a game, disconnect from the network and install the game. Should install a lot faster.

Thanks for the help Spyoman12 but after being 8 months into the xbox one. Having to wait 3 hours for a game to install is not what we want to be doing. I cant wait to install battlefield 4 and all of its DLC...

What I wanna know is when and where can I get an answer for why I was forced an update out of the blue that formatted my xbox..

(I'm assuming you part of the dashboard preview program which is what caused the wipe-out-my-system update and might be required to see the above post).

I'm not sure you are going to get an answer like, "Bob uploaded the wrong file. We have strapped him to a chair in the basement with hungry weasels."
