Update times

Discus and support Update times in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; is there a way to change what time system updates happen. I'm apart of the preview program so I get quite a few updates but they all happen at bad... Discussion in 'XBoX on Consoles' started by odieduri, Nov 7, 2015.

    is there a way to change what time system updates happen. I'm apart of the preview program so I get quite a few updates but they all happen at bad times. its 7pm on a Sunday night and I just got a system update. I had another one Friday at like 5pm. Is there
    anyway to change what times these happen?

    if they don't fully test it, it'd be possible to break your xbox entirely.

    Update times

    Unfortunately there is no way to change the update times.Your best bet would be to have the console set to instant-on or frequently check the system settings to see if you have an update waiting.

    Time to update!

    I think I had this problem a few nights ago, I looked up the status of Xbox live and it was under maintenance, well, certain aspects of it were. Have you tried clearing your system cache?

    Unfortunately there is no option to set a specific time.

    If carbon intensity data is available in your area, the console will perform the updates at night at a time when it can use the most renewable energy.

    Otherwise, the maintenance window for checking for updates is a random time between 2 and 6AM, so your console would check for updates once per night during that period.

    Put your console into "instant on" mode in the power settings & keep an eye on the preview forums for update announcements so you know when to expect them.
