Update taking forever to download

    Update taking forever to download


    Is anyone else having trouble downloading the update? I installed mine,then it did what I thought was the update and now I've spent about an hour getting to 53% on the update and can't play anything,I'd really like to be able to just play the game before
    the year 7042AD

    Downloading BF3 Update

    My xbox is taking forever to download the recent BF3 update which is 201mb. My internet download speed is 4.29mb/s. I can download things on my pc just fine but my xbox is taking forever. How do i fix this?

    The download speed depends of your internet conection, you can try to use a Ethernet cable instead Wi Fi ...

    Also you can try to open the network ports in the case that your NAT are restricted or moderated.

    Didn't have any issues with the update downloading. Could it possibly be your internet?

    Delete out the update and try to do it over again, if you still havent gotten it to fully download yet.

    I had to download the update as a zip file and burn the 150mb to a cd/dvd.

    It updated the console. Now the console takes FOREVER to do anything and for some readon cannot sign in at all. I think the update is a bad one.

    Delete out the update and try to do it over again, if you still havent gotten it to fully download yet.

    Greetings Phantum and madmainemoose,

    While I understand that you have fast internet, sometimes the modem itself can slow things to a crawl.. It's unfortunate, but not all modems are compatible with Xbox One.

    For more information, please have a look at

    If your modem is not listed, then it is more than likely not compatible.. But if it is listed, then hopefully there will be some technical advice there to help speed things up for you.

    Do a detailed network statistics test in settings under the network tab and post your results.

    Downloading an Update is Taking Forever

    I ended up restarting my router and once my Xbox reconnected to the internet it jumped to 80% installed and finished shortly after. The update didn't take very long either afterwards.
