Update stalls at 79%

Ok. so my power supply cord failed though I wasn't sure that was the problem. I went quite a while before getting a new power cord and that worked to give my X box power but I got an E106 error. I looked up what to do and unplugged my xbox let it sit
for a few minutes and then plug it back in. I then pressed the sync button on the side and the eject button and then powered up. I got the reset screen and tried resetting while keeping games. this did not work and I still got the e106 error. I tried this
again and tried the reset to factory defaults and still got an E106 error. So I got a flash card downloaded OSU1 file and plugged it into the xbox. This seemed to work at first and installed updates and then went to apply updates and got stuck at 79% at
which time it went to E106. Now everything I try, unplugging and pressing the two buttons before turning on and it goes right to the update screen and starts at like 40% and goes to 79 or 80% and then fails going to E106.

Thank you for reaching out to us, I can see how frustrating this is. The E106 error is a system error caused by data cache, so clearing the cache on your Xbox One console could be the solution. To do so follow these steps:

Press the Guide button on your controller.
Go to Settings Tab, select System Settings ==> Select Storage.
Select any of the listed storage device press Y on the controller.
Select Clear System Cache.
When prompted for a confirmation, select Yes

After doing so, reset your Xbox One console by doing the following steps:

Turn off your Xbox One.
Unplug it for at least 30 seconds.
Plug it back, then press and hold Bind button (located on the left side of the Xbox One) and the Ejectbutton.
Then, power on the console without releasing the Bind and Eject button.
Release the Bind and Eject button after two power-up beep sounds.
After that, you should enter the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.
Then select the Reset this Xbox using the controller

Please try the soft reset. Dont do a hard rest. Hope this link helps

There are plenty of reasons for this but usually a simply unplug wait a few minutes plug back up and start her up usually works.

Also what xbox are you using seems no one asked that?

Deregister and reregister your xbox on your microsoft account will usually fix issues. Also reset your router to ensure stable nat supported connection is running from router to xbox even if hardwired
