    Update problems


    Yesterday I downloaded the newest xbox 360 update, after I downloaded it I noticed that some of the profiles on my xbox had been deleted, so I checked and everything on my memory unit was gone, no big deal I didn't really have anything important on there
    anyways. Today when I tried to sign in to xbox live it tells me there is a problem occurring when I try to sign in, I reset my router and modem, that wasn't the problem, now I am hearing that this has something to do with the new update. Does anyone have any
    answers?

    Update Problems.

    I found this information regarding that error code:

    A storage device (memory unit or hard drive) was not found during the software update. Follow these steps:

    1. Turn off your console.
    2. Remove all console storage devices, including any USB flash drives, external hard drives, or the internal hard drive on the Xbox 360 S console. Learn how to remove the
      hard drive      .
    3. Add your primary storage device, for example, the hard drive.
    4. Turn on the console
    5. Try updating the console again.

    Hey ShakyChaff36025! You can use a usb to
    update the console offline    , if retrying the update does not work. Post back and let me know how it goes!
