Update problem - Xbox 360 S 4Gb (Trinity)

integrated into the motherboard. No header, just solder pads for a 4GB flash memory chip, only attached if the console is a 4GB model. That would make it similar to the final generation of original 360 Arcade consoles, I believe (those were 512MB).



The one nice thing about the 4GB Trinity models was that they could take up to six storage devices - 4GB onboard, HDD, two USB Memory Units, and two original Memory Units via USB to MU adapters on the front USB ports. Corona models dropped that to four devices
as Corona removed support for orignal Memory Units via USB to MU adapters on the front ports.

I just tried Crimson Skies. It boots up on both my Modern Warfare 2 console (old style Jasper) and Modern Warfare 3 console (360 S style, Trinity). Both have the latest update, installed from the USB flash drive copy on the XBOX website.

They're not the same model. The original 360 S is code named Trinity. The 360 S introduced Holiday 2012 is Corona. Corona integrates HANA into the south bridge. It also appears to have dropped support for original memory units via USB adapters. The Gears
of War console was apparently the last Trinity model. MW3 and Star Wars consoles are Coronas.

Physically, 135w and 120w power adapters fit into either generation of 360 S.

250GB 360 S console kit's HDD is covered by the console warranty.



Accessory 250GB and 320GB HDDs only have a 90 day warranty.



You're better off getting a HDD-equipped console. The only exception would be if you are obsessive about wanting the maximum amount of save game space. The 4GB 360 S's internal MU should not count against the two USB MU limit. This means you can have six
valid storage devices attached to a Trinity console - internal 4GB MU, HDD, two USB MUs, and two original MUs via USB cradles attached to the front USB ports. Corona removed original MU compatability, so they're down to just four valid storage devices.
