Update preview forum

i received my invite to preview the updates via xbox one messages, but i never received any messages or emails to look at the forums, i am getting the "group not found" error message. i want to get on the forums so that i can invite my cousin who is the
only person i talk to on xbox one...we can no longer talk since he did not get the update and it is very frustrating

It is a bug in Preview.

It won't fix itself. It has already been noted by a member of Preview Staff and a fix will be forthcoming in an upcoming update.

You should always post suspected Preview issues after a Preview update in the Preview forums not the General forums.

 

From what I have read and researched this is known problem that as of right now has no resolution. Bummer deal big time as I am in the same boat, everyone that I play with didn't get the update beta. I figured no big deal since I would be able to invite
them...............I have been checking the forum daily for the past four days with no luck.

You're not alone, and I'm sure Microsoft will have this resolved as quickly as possible.

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. This is a beta and things go wrong with it, I believe they are weeding out all of the people that aren't here to give legitimate feedback but want to feel special for getting something early.

Stay patient...I haven't even played an online game since I got this update because all of my friends dont have it and we cant play....I like the look and feel of the changes they made (great improvement), but wish I could invite at least one friend to beta
test with me in order to give fully tested feedback. I will try to stay cool about all of this and hope it pays off in the end.

You can un-register by launching the 'Xbox one registration preview' app and selecting un-register...they gave us all plenty of warning that we would not be able to party chat etc....BUT...people like you and me were planning on inviting our friends to beta
test are kinda in limbo.

Try and stay patient, I feel the same way but not all the updates are going to be like this and EVERYONE should have this update within the next week or so...sorry for your frustration man trust me I get it

 

I also understand everyone's frustration. Especially coming from the Xbox 360 when you could access and delete each individual update if you wanted to, or if it was corrupt (One thing I have no idea why Microsoft didn't include in the Xbox One?). Anyways,
it sounds like the update isn't coming until mid-March. So potentially 2 weeks at the latest, and unfortunately, after the release of Titanfall. I am trying to be as patient as possible, but I have been in contact with Xbox Support so much since November it
is unreal. And it is a huge inconvenience for me to go out of my way to try and fix things that shouldn't be problems to begin with. I just wish that Microsoft was more clear on release dates of anything at all, and would actually respond directly to peoples'
issues. Rather than having a "peer-to-peer" support system. Which is efficient, don't get me wrong, but there are some things that you need to speak directly to the beast itself to sort out.

 

Simply just annoying. If I wanted to deal with this I would have bought a ps4

I wonder if you can use another console which doesn't have the march update to play with your friends. Is that possible? because I am having the same problems with this update.
