Update not allowing me to open any games or apps

Have you tried deleting and "re-add" your account/profile back to your Xbox? If that didn't work, then at this point (after the
new update) I would recommend doing "How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One" .

Outstanding! This worked for me. I downloaded the xBox free app and it then allowed me to 'see' the flight update when I clicked the Get Updates icon upper right of store. Once the xBox app was installed go back and open flight sim and it then shows the update just like all other times updates are available when you open the sim.

I'm having problems with this app too and it all started today 6/7/2016. I did not see an update or was asked if I wanted to update this app. My xb1 is set up to not allow any automatic updates for the system or any thing else on the console. This morning
I was able to view my subscriptions on the left side in the guide and now it's gone. What's making me very upset now is that the videos are freezing but audio will continue to play and in order for me to get out of the app I have to shut down the system and
reboot. I cannot even open any other apps or play a game because the YouTube app is still in a frozen state. This has happened multiple times and it's getting to the point that I cannot use this app anymore or the xb1.

I may have found a solution to this problem. It may not work for everyone; I have no idea. What I did that somehow by a FAR FETCHED MIRACLE worked was simply logging into my XBOX account online since the app on my computer was not allowing me to. I then
made sure my account settings on my computer allowed me to always be notified of any changes made. After that, I closed out all my browsers and then restarted my computer. Afterwards, I opened up the XBOXmahjong app, and it asked for permission to update and
use my Microsoft XBOX account. I allowed this and clicked okay. It then signed me in, and the XBOX app signed me in as well upon opening. I hope this helps!!!!

Error 0x8007001f is a Windows Store error, not a Game Pass App error. There is some confusion around the Xbox App, with many users believing the app is like Steam or Origin, it isn't.

For downloading Game PC games the Xbox App works as a kind of portal, when you choose to download games through it, they actually download via the Windows Store.

In addition to this, games install via a protected folder called 'WindowsApps'. Not only is this folder protected, it's also encrypted. This can cause a lot of issues with some Anti-virus or other real-time security software on Windows as the these programs
are not allowed by the OS to read these folders.

Disabling an Antivirus program may not be enough as they still tend to run in the background (this is a feature of these applications to continue to run as preventative manner from viruses trying to disable them).
