update messed up my xbox

Discus and support update messed up my xbox in XBoX Sales and Promo to solve the problem; so i turned my console on today and a update began downloading. i assume this was the new dashboard, since i opted in about 2 days ago. after an hour...     update messed up my xbox


    so i turned my console on today and a update began downloading. i assume this was the new dashboard, since i opted in about 2 days ago. after an hour and a half, the updated seemed to be done, but my screen went black and an error code, 0x8027025a, appeared
    on my screen. i immediately went to the website and typed the code, and did all the trouble shooting steps ( hard reset, unplug for 3 minutes, turn back on with controller ) 5 times before contacting support. i cannot access anything when i start back up.
    i just get brought to a black screen with the same error code that pops up. if i wait a minute or 2, a notification pops up say " installation stopped ". but when i hold the home button down it brings me to the opening screen to my games and apps but freezes
    there. when i contacted support they gave me this link to contact someone that works on the preview program. its been a little over 3 hours now, and i cant do anything. also i hope my save games are not at risk because of this. an immediate response would
    be greatly appreciated, as this is not fault on my end. thanks in advance

    Excatly the same issue with my sons account, my profile had disappeared completely from the console. Once it was re-established after multiple failed attempts to sign in I had exactly the same issue, games failed to load, NAT unavailable, common denominator
    here is the tell tale recent upgrade. Do you have a queued update for XBox original avatars? Our has sat for hours hung on 0%

    i solved it myself. for some reason if i pressed feedback, it brought me to another page that allowed me to check my connection. after i did that it was fine. the new dashboard was there too

    and i posted this here because xbox support told me to. this was the link i was given by xbox support. if i was supposed to post it elsewhere, then i should've been given a different link in the first place. this whole process was a huge inconvenience, and
    xbox didn't help at all with the solution. xbox really needs to develop a better way of contacting support, because the only answers i got were links to forums. and even after i did that, you're now telling me i need to post it somewhere else. when people
    contact you with an issue, especially one on your end, then it should not be up to the paying customer to keep posting threads that don't get answered for over an hour. all i wanted was a solution or even just a simple explanation, and i couldn't even get
    that. the whole process was inconvenient, and i am very disappointed how my issue was handled, because it wasn't at all

    The reason it wasn't handled is because support gave you the wrong link unfortunately. Preview program support is only handled on the private forums in the link I gave you.

  9. LiveLoveLonnie - You are not in the preview program on this gamertag that we can confirm, that is why you cannot access those forums. Please post up a new thread on the account you are in the preview program with to get access to those forums.

    SCOTTIExDONT - Medium is simply an Ambassador; a gamer like yourself that volunteers his time to help others out. Anyone that works at Microsoft will have an "Official" tag on the bottom of their gamercard.

    That being said, the only support for preview has always been on the forums, specifically the
    Update Preview Forums. While your issue is resolved, I suggest submitting feedback through your console first with any other issues you have, then checking out those forums for
