Update Loop

my Xbox is stuck on an update loop. I've attempted multiple times at least 3 cycles at a time;

xbox starts

prompts me to update

complete update

restart

repeat

I can get past this to the dashboard but offline. As soon as I try to go online it goes straight back to the update loop.

ok i have a kinect sensor update loop, when i go on xbox live I go onto the search engine bing it will come up with a status code d0000221-00b96004-1ed9e66e i will still go in a loop if i do kinect id set up. i have tried clearing the cache, formating my
xbox, and also downloaded the update via USB i cannot play games online or offline and I have tried the X,LB,RB,X,LB,RB,X,LB,RB,X code that did not work either i cant not purchase or download anything of the marketplace nor use the avatar editor if you have
any solutions at all even if i have to take the damn thing apart i will be happy to I have work maybe 4 months on this i have tried burning it to a cd also, thank you If you have a solution to this

Hey, My Xbox 360 is stuck in an update loop and i cant figure out how to fix it, i updated it with dead island and my "status code" is 22fb-335a-b800-0f00-c000-003a

Sorry you're having problems with your updates. First try unplugging any extra devices (usb hard drives, kinect, usb sticks, ect), hard reset your console by holding the power button down for 8 seconds until it just shuts off, and then powering it back
on to do the update. If that doesn't work then you may want to try the
Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool.

 

i tried with the kinect disconnected (nothing else connected). Did not work properly.

I do not have access to a thumb drive in order to do the offline system update diagnostic tool.

 

Is there a way for me to do a factory reset while maintaining my settings and game save files?

 

Hi Furinkazanzibar,

Your game saves are stored in the cloud provided your Xbox is connected to the internet. As such, when you launch a game after doing a factory reset, you'll see "syncing data", which means it's copying down a local copy of your saves.

 

So I tried to do a factory reset but it requires you to be online to execute... but that just kicks me back to the update screen all over again.

I have no idea what to do at this point! I can't play any of my games now and i'm paying for xbox live right now even though i can't even log in!
