Update Loop & Corrupted File Message

Today when I turned on my xbox, I was greeted with an update. Normally they go without a hitch, taking a few minutes and then allowing me to play my games. This was not the case, I am stuck in an update loop, I have no access to the dashboard just the
yes or no buttons on the update prompt. If I hit no, it displays a message along the lines of "Files corrupted, restart your console to fix". I hit the restart button and I got the update prompt again. I went to the /update page on xbox.com and downloaded
the update which I put onto a USB stick. When I followed those instructions, the xbox would extract the update then restart. And keep doing that. I cannot access the dashboard, and I am very limited in what I can do. I did not modify my console, nor install
anything, this happened out of the blue. Thanks for reading this and I hope to get this fixed.

Saints Row IV Re Elected: Installation stuck in queue

Didn't work. The update downloaded but i got a "file is corrupted" message. I write a letter to the devs. Maybe they correct this.

 

Modem Brand and Model Number: I do not know

Router Brand and Model Number: A linksys EA4500 N900

Wired or Wireless connection: Wireless

Update Error Message: No Error Code given

What you've tried: Installing Update via USB, because of restricted access to dashboard it's all I can do.

 

Hi, could you try powering the xbox off, then press and hold the sync button on the xbox and press the power button, keep the sync button held in. Are you then able to get the xbox onto the dashboard at all ?

 

I had done that previously, I forgot to say it. I also tried the LB RB X LB RB X or something like that. Sometimes I get to a prompt which is empty, with no yes or no, just a blank box. When that happens I hit the power button and restart.

 

Still having this issue, anyone able to help me out here?

 

If you have a hard drive or any external storage devices try removing those.

 

I do not have any of these, a friend said to start my console offline to see if the update persists. Ill try that now

 

yesterday after the update i lost all my saved data off of a 16 gb disk. that update is messing with a lot of people on these forums from what im seeing.
