Update just froze

So my console told me it needs to upgrade and I allow it. It's been stuck at I'd say 85%. It's telling me not to restart but there is clearly something wrong happening right now. If I restart am I going to mess up my xbox? I don't really have a choice though.....

Freezing Up in Multyplayer??

Ever since the update I have frozen 4 times. Before the update it never froze.

I would let it sit or contact support first downloads can hang for awhile then pickup at anytime.

Same thing here. Got to roughly the 85% mark and then it just stopped. It's been close to an hour.

Update Preview Forums, please unplug your console (yes, even while it's updating) for 10 minutes, then try the update again. Head to the preview forums to check for other solutions.

I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

Please try performing an offline update by following the steps here:

For this process, you'll need a USB flash drive with at least 8GB of storage capacity.

The file used for this update varies depending on your console model. If you have an original Xbox One, you must use a different file than other consoles. You can find more information on the website I gave you.
