Update issues

Almost every time I update a game I have a issue where once I try to start the game after the update finishes it fails to launch. When I open a game it shows its startup animation/screen but crashes within 3 seconds before even beginning to even load the
game. It does not give a error code or message, just kicks the home. It's done this with fallout 4, warframe, fortnite, etc. I've tried all solutions I could find, clear local save cache, power cycle, delete reserved space, etc. It's done this to both disc
and digital games on both my internal and external hard drive to rule out a bad hard drive or disc. The only solution I've made work is completely reinstalling the game. While this can usually fix it (sometimes needing multiple reinstalls), it's not a good
solution having to install 10-40 gigs every time I have a 200mb update, especially with even larger games like eso or master chief collection which ive just not to reinstall due to size. Nor does it fix the main issue of why does it do this in the first place.
Currently reinstalling frotnite for a 4th time this month. Any suggestions?

The article also when on to note that those with the "Instant On" feature enabled will be first to get the update since it will roll out in waves. Everyone else will received it by Thursday 12/12/13. I for one am very happy to see Microsoft quickly begin to fix the many small issues or bug currently found on the Xbox One. We can only hope they continue to be persistent and hasten.

Yea. Always update when they get released. Thought maybe the new update released last week would fix the issue but this started before the last update. Still same issue.

Are you in the insider program? Do you have that problem with all the games or only with the games that you use frequently?

 

Hi! If you've tried every other solution, doing a factory reset with keeping your games and apps (so that you don't have to install them again) would be your best option:

it's random which games do it, some I play frequently, some I haven't played in months but as soon as they get a update. This happens. As for insider i was in it before but I've opted out of it since some other issues but i noticed I get console updates
some times when others dont.

 

wasn't aware I could factory reset without deleting games as that seems contradictory, but will try this next if this happens again.

That sounds strange. I suggest you to check in the Insider Hub App if the console is still in the insider program.
