    the "official" list is

    This update addresses the following:

    • Addresses SmartGlass issues for some users when coming in and out of connected standby
    • Addresses multiplayer issues for some users when re-joining games
    • Addresses issues with inconsistent notifications for some users
    • Addresses dashboard performance for some users
    • Offers improvements for Xbox One’s TV, system update, and content update services for scaling over time
    • Updated wireless networking driver to improve connectivity issues for some users

    The 1408 Update has not been released to the mass public yet. It is still being refined in the Update Preview Program. (I am in the Program).

    ahhh, so it's still being tested out? only a few people have got it? guess my friend got lucky with it.

    Yes, it is still being optimized. Very few have the new friends tab and so on. But it should be releasing to the mass Xbox public soon.

    ahh alright that makes sense, as for the invite my friend never got any invite, he just turned on his xbox and had it.

    Hi, has it also cleared your save data cos I've had this same problem and am currently reinstalling it but want to know if there is even any point.

    Hi PayneAS! The console shouldn't need to download updates in a sequential order; the latest update includes all of the previous updates as well. However, if the update failed, it may be *partially* updated, which can be problematic, because the console
    knows that, but the version number is correct. Anyway - Can you again try taidara's suggestion, with the console disconnected from the internet? It should then use the USB update and it *should* work. Let us know if this helps!

    (oops, hit post by accident)

    I did as suggested above. Still not working. The download bar gets to about 40% of the way done and then ticks backwards a little, then forwards, then backwards, then forwards, and finally fails. Gives me the error code Error 3F4B 0000 3080
    0505 8007 5070     again. If what the help topic (I linked earlier) says is true, that I'm missing a previous update, how can I get it to download the update? It won't read the update off my USB stick. :/
