Update Issue on Xbox 360 S

See the old thread below with all the trouble shooting done. I went through every suggestion one more time, after letting it sit for 3 months. It still fails to update with every possible option. Do not dare repeat the same suggestions that I already stated
in the older closed thread as something to try like clearing the failed update or cache or removing hard drive or checking network or using USB or CD. That means you want me to jump up and down until the Xbox is decimated and I switch to Sony. I'd just
like to get it working again, for my daughter, as I just use my Xbox One.

When I try to update my modded xbox 360 s I got an error message status code: 3CD6-445E-1900-2446-C810-1004

I have tried to update my xbox 360 from the internet and then I tried to download the update on a cd and every time it gaves me the same issue. How can I solve this issue.

Someone told me that a modded xbox 360 can't be updated. If I unmod the xbox the update will works?

if yes told me how to unmod it.

You obviously did not attempt every suggestion.

install, and it will need to be repaired in order for this console to take an update."

Unfortunately, it sounds like a hardware issue. You were given this answer by official support in January.

 

And as you see, nobody is paying 100 dollars plus for that or accepting that, and that I will sell it instead.

 

Especially since, as you can read many others have had, it was working perfectly until their update of December 2.

 

Someone can use it for parts for all I care. Not going through the shipping hassle and paying more for a repair than I bought it for.

 

Seems like a money making scheme for Microsoft repairs branch.

 

If you want it working again, send it in for repairs. If you don't want to send it in, then that's the end of it. Whatever you decide, it's up to you. The forums have already provided an answer. Sorry that you don't like the answer. Good luck to you.

 

Im in the same situation as you man. My xbox was fine up until 2 days ago but now i cant download the system update to get online. If you ask me they owe us a brand new xbox

 

LowerEastSide24, the last public update was on Dec 11 2014. Either your hard drive (or internal 4gb storage) is failing and causing the xbox unable to read that it has the update or you are in the preview program which had an update on March 31st.

If you are part of the preview program, you should be posting in the preview program forums. The preview program is about beta testing and problems can arise. It's part of the risk in partaking in a beta.

If you are not part of the preview program then you have an obvious hard ware failure somewhere.
