Have you tried with a different Ethernet cable? Or could you make sure your Ethernet cable is not faulty.

If your still stuck despite the effort troubleshooting a wired connection. Could you try use a wireless connection as following:

Turn off wireless security (WEP, WPA, WPA2).

Turn off firewall.

Note if you are unable to connect wireless, remember to setup security and firewall as previous settings.

Could you also try clearing your Marketplace system cache. Here's how:

1. On your console, go to Settings, and then select System.
2. Select Storage, and then select your primary storage device.
3. Select System Items.
4. Select Marketplace System Data.
5. Select Delete.
6. Restart your console.

Could you post up the make and model of your modem/router.

Hi all,

I was using a wireless connection, but I've hooked it up with a cable now. I've deleted the latest update and it gives me the same error again: 3CD6-0000-3080-0300-8007-2746.

I already tried to download the update and put it on the usb. It installs but than it comes up with the following error: "A System update is required to sign in but the update is currently unavailable. If the problem persists, visit www.xbox.com/support"

I've cleared the cache of the hard drive and I've checked for corrupted data but there is none.

My internet connection should be fine, it's fast enough and no network problems.

Hmmmm, hope anyone has an answer.....

What is the make and model of your modem/router?

Are you able to try connect your console on a different network?

Try again...

Status codes with 8007 as the second to last block usually indicate, that the console couldn't download the Update from LIVE properly (for a lot of reasons, like slow internet connection, corrupt download, overloaded servers or whatever).

Therefore I recommend to let your PC download the update, and then copy the update to an USB drive or burning it to a CD, as your PC is more tolerant towards slow downloads.

Go to this suport page to get your System Update download and instructions how to use it.

Or simply click here. This will get you a File called "SystemUpdate_15574_USB.zip"

Make sure you have a plain, empty USB stick that is FAT formatted (not NTFS). Also, sticks with special features like encryption or stuff like that won't work. It needs to be a cheap, plain USB stick.

Double click on the ZIP file and you should see a "$Systemupdate" folder. Drag and drop that $Systemupdate folder to your USB Stick.

Safely remove the USB stick, and plug it into your console. The console should then start to update itself. Or if necessary, simply restart the console with the stick plugged in.
