Update for system has terrible timing

Every single time i have an update for the system i am in the middle of a pvp game. Stupid thing forces me to choose to update or turn off the system, but does not close thr game i was playing basically making it seem as if im simply just not playing at
all. There needs to be an option to update later or have it only update when the system is turned on, not in the middle of a game.

    :)

    Preview Updates Timing Is Terrible.

Ok, so first, for some reason I do not have access to the preview forums, even though I've been in the preview program for a good while.

    Second, the topic.

The pushes for the updates are terribly timed by the Xbox OS. It needs to be pushed when you are at the dashboard with no games open. Numerous times now, to include just a few minutes ago, the console forces an update on me while I am in the middle of a
match in multiplayer. It shouldn't push it if any game is open/running.

If you make a thread asking for preview forum access in the support forums
    forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx
then someone will be along at some point to sort that out.

As for the updates, you can either put your console in "instant on" mode in the power settings which will mean any updates will download when your console is off or check your system under "settings" every couple of days to see if there's an update.

Can't say I've ever been booted from a game for an update

Update for system has terrible timing

As i understand you xbox one is set to Instant-On power mode. You can change to Energy-saving power mode and from that moment you can decide when to download the updates, thus not interrupting your gaming experience. For more info:

Has anyone else had a terrible time with this new update?

Since latest FORCED update my Xbox one is slower at everything, especially video apps like YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, just about everything takes five times longer to load, find or play. Very frustrating it is not my internet and is obviously part of update,
there are spinning dots and other loading icons that were never there because it only took couple seconds before. Worst update ever.

Hey Firefly1jedi! I have been able to update some apps on my console after the recent update. How long have you had the console? You may want to try a

    factory reset
(keeping games and apps) to see if it helps speed up the console. If you give it a shot, let me know how it goes!
