    Update Failed


    For the past two and a half weeks I have been trying to connect to Xbox live and play online but every time I try to sign in I get an error saying "A system update is required to sign in to Xbox Live, but the update is currently unavailable. If the problem
    persists, visit www.xbox.com/support." I have tried restarting my Xbox. plugging in with an Ethernet cable and even using the usb method and none of these have worked. I have also tried the LB RB
    X LB RB X solution and it said it was extracting files and everything and once my Xbox restarted I got the same error message. I have tried putting the whole file from the .zip file on my flash drive along with trying to put all items in the file on my flash
    drive and no way has worked. I have been searching around the forums for a solution but nothing has been found or worked for me yet. My Xbox will connect to the internet but will not connect to Xbox Live due to needing an update but will not update because
    I cannot connect to Xbox Live to get the update.

    XB1 failing to update

    Speak with xbox support by calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX or go to their forums to find suggestions on how to fix this. The obvious remedies would be turning it off or factory reset. Another thing you could try is disconnecting from your wifi and reconnecting and if that doesn't work, connect to your router or modem via RJ-45.

    XB1 failing to update

    I would return it to the store and get a new one.

    I'd recommending running through all steps in
    this thread     first so we know the results of all steps. If this doesn't resolve the problem then I'd recommend creating a new thread in the 00 - 2013 Xbox Dashboard Update forums

    The Uninstall thing seems like a new bug / feature added in the latest dash.

    Let's hope they fix it soon.

    I actually had that error of: 3143-397F-1600-2203-C000-0001 on my one console and if I remember correctly that means that the console has been modified or tampered with. I didn't do anything with my console but I found mine was refurbished and so it was
    opened by someone other then Microsoft. If you call into the Xbox Support line they can tell you for sure.
