Update Failed - Xbox Live (360)

This alert comes up when I'm trying to log in to Xbox Live:

"Update Failed: A system update is required to sign in to Xbox Live, but the update is currently unavailable. If the problem persists, visit www.xbox.com/support."

That's all what shows up... No other information. I was able to connect perfectly yesterday but I got this error message this morning.

I have tried to restart the modem/console, remove and reinstall (even with USB) the update but without success.

Please help me if you can!

my xbox 360 trying to download a xbox live update but it failed to downloaded and if dont download that update i cant go to xbox live ....

 

Xbox 360 update code error is 8007-045D

Thanks for your efforts but they have not solved the problem.

I bought the console around Christmas and since then there was no problem at all. The 'new' update has been out since September so I suppose my console has already had it or had no problem with updating.

Nevertheless I tried to install the updates via USB but nothing happened. Clearing the System Cache did also not do the trick.

Finally I found the way to delete the System Update by pressing 'LB + RB + X + LB + RB + X' in System Settings / Storage. After this I was able to install the update from my USB device. (Actually it was only extracting.) But I'm still getting the "Update
Failed" message...

Any other ideas?

 

Try unplugging your console for 30 seconds then reconnect and try to do update again, if that also does not work you can always try unplugging your console for 3 minutes.

Also test your network connection as there could be a connection issue between your modem/router/gateway to your console.

If you are connected via a wireless connection try going to a wired connection and redoing the update again.

(tip when doing updates using wireless have other wireless devices disconnected while your console updates.)

 

Unplugging the console and connecting via a wire did not help me. I tested the network connection and it reached the internet but not the Xbox Live.

Still I managed to fix the problem: I connected to my neighbour's WIFI and downloaded the update again. After the restart it logged me in to Xbox Live. What a moment...

Now I'm using my console with my own internet connection and everything works fine.

Thank you for the update and there seems to be a problem with your internet service, contact your ISP as you may have a problem with your line to your main Router.
