Update Failed Status Code 42FE-0000-0080-0300-8007-2751

Hey everyone!

Sorry to hear about the update issues! If you are continuing to run into this error code, I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted:

First, clear your Xbox 360 system cache 3 times.

Power cycle your Xbox 360 console.

Once your console is powered on, try downloading the update again.

If you are still unable to download the update, copy the update from your computer to a USB flash drive by trying the following steps:

Note The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system. For information about how to format a USB flash drive, see the “Format a USB flash drive” section of Xbox 360 USB flash
drive support.

Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.

Download the update file.

Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.

Unzip the file. If you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.

Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your USB flash drive (for example, E:\). Do not copy the contents to another folder on the USB flash drive (for example, E:\Files).

Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.

Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console.

Restart the console.

When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.

The 360 hasn't come to the end. So don't say that kind of stuff as you and I don't know nothing about that. Spreiding rumours about the end of the xbox 360 just isn't a good idea okay

I basically experienced the same issue once the update was rolled out by Microsoft. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a resolution either. Best of luck to everyone.

NOTHING is working. Tried the flash drive approach and it still only goes so far and rejects it.

Grr Ive tried everything nothing has worked im about to cancel xbox live permanently this is beyond ridiculous.

Modem Brand and Model Number: Netgear CG3000D

Router Brand and Model Number: Motorola SBV5122

Wired or Wireless connection: Wireless connection I believe anyways

Update Error Message: Status code : 3CD6-0000-0080-0300-8007-2751 Update failed etc....

Update Error Code (6 sets of 4 digits/letters each): Status code : 3CD6-0000-0080-0300-8007-2751

What you've tried: everything!

Pain in the @@@ is it has a different status code EACH TIME!
