  1. Update failed. Factory reset

I recently came to discover that my computer would no longer connect to my internet provider. My internet was turned off prior to this event. Now that my internet is back active, my Xbox has failed to connect to it. After troubleshooting the internet connection
tims and reading the support forums, nothing seemed to work. I eventually made my way to console settings to check the latest update status. I discovered that it showed up as "Latest Status: Update Failed (0x8b050066)" I'm assuming the console was trying to
update using deactivated internet. After searching for the solution to this issue I discovered the issue was showing up in Australia more than most places, due to their internet provider. After coming across no solution, I decided to take matters into my own
hands and factory reset my Xbox One, losing everything in the process.. Upon getting back to starting my system again, it went to connecting to wifi again. It would not connect, no matter what, just like when I had it completely setup earlier. I'm not sure
what to do anymore, I can't even fully access my console now.

    :)

    Xbox One X Connection Issue

    Hey Brock,

Sounds like the console would also benefit from doing a
    Soft Factory Reset
. The issue could be on the OS or a failed update, Give it a shot and let us know if it helped!

You may want to try the OSUDT to get your console back working. You will find the necessary steps and information right here:

    support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool

Please use the latest OSUDT 2 files in the list.

If that doesn't fix your issue please come back for further assistance.

Please check also your router of there is a MAC adress filter configured and if so please disable it.

Go to your Xbox console settings then check your timezone and make sure it matches the timezone your in, then re-run the update and you should be good to go. That error code is related to the timezone.
