Update fail

    I'm currently trying to update fortnite but when I update it. it gets to 38% and keeps saying installation stoped what can I do about this

    XB1 failing to update

    Speak with xbox support by calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX or go to their forums to find suggestions on how to fix this. The obvious remedies would be turning it off or factory reset. Another thing you could try is disconnecting from your wifi and reconnecting and if that doesn't work, connect to your router or modem via RJ-45.

    I would return it to the store and get a new one.

    Update fail

    HI, please check to make sure you have enough free space to complete the update. Also if it continues to fail try and uninstall and reinstall

    Hey,

    Make sure you have enough storage to perform the update.

    Power cycle your console.

    Reinstalling is always a solution.

    Check your Wi-Fi connection, restart it. And make sure you have enough space. If that doesn’t work then reboot your xbox by holding the power button on your console for about 10 seconds.

    I'd recommending running through all steps in
    this thread     first so we know the results of all steps. If this doesn't resolve the problem then I'd recommend creating a new thread in the 00 - 2013 Xbox Dashboard Update forums

    The Uninstall thing seems like a new bug / feature added in the latest dash.

    Let's hope they fix it soon.

    I am also experiencing same error. Power recycling does not fix it. I have downloaded update 3 times to no avail.

    I actually had that error of: 3143-397F-1600-2203-C000-0001 on my one console and if I remember correctly that means that the console has been modified or tampered with. I didn't do anything with my console but I found mine was refurbished and so it was
    opened by someone other then Microsoft. If you call into the Xbox Support line they can tell you for sure.
