    Update Error


    I tried to use my Xbox One S at my parents house (where I don't live) yesterday (4-5-2019), and it wouldn't update. Gave me the following error codes

    0x8B0500B6 and 0x00000000 and 0x80000001

    The last time this console was used and/or updated was between 2 and 8 months ago.

    I spent 55+ minutes on the phone with an Xbox support agent, and this issue was never solved (had to give it up when agent wanted me to power cycle my folks router, which they, my elderly parents, were unwilling to let me do).

    Please note that this particular Xbox One S was purchased in either 2017 or 2018, it has less than 50 hours of usage on it, and now it doesn't work at all, since it keeps trying and failing to download a full system update. I am just hoping that this issue
    is caused by something related to THEIR (my folks') internet; all I'm really trying to do at this point is rule out any potential that this console has "died of old age" after less than 50 hours of usage. I also cannot do an offline update as I don't own nor
    have access to any PC's that have Windows as an OS.
