    Update error


    Hello,

    I was in game (Assisn's creed : Odyssey) when the game stopped and I recieved the following error message:

    An update error has occured.

    This update is required to use your consule but a problem has arrived. To get help, go to xbox.com.....

    Error code : 0x80072F8F 0x00000000 0x00000201

    When typing the error code in the support search tool, no solution is found as it is not recognized.

    Has anyone experienced this / has a solution?

    Minecraft Update Error

    I went to try out Minecraft on xb1 today. I updated it to the latest patch and it freezed my xbox. I shut it down completely and then I restarted the console. Tried to play minecraft again and now the game won't start. Anyone else get this problem?

    Hello HENRICKSEN,

    Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Is this console enrolled in the Xbox Insider program? The system update can be redownloaded by performing a soft factory reset. This is the type of factory reset that will keep all games and applications
    installed. All Microsoft accounts will be removed on the console. The email addresses and passwords of these accounts must be known before this step is taken. We have an article,

    How to Reset Your Console to Factory Defaults on Xbox One    , that contains steps on how to complete that process. If your console is unable to get to the settings menu, there is an offline troubleshooting menu that can be reached. We will list the steps for
    that option below. Be sure to let us know the results!

    1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    2. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.
    3. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the
      EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
      Xbox button on the console.
    4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
      BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
    6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

    To reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, use the D-pad and
    A button on your controller to select Reset this Xbox. When prompted, select
    Keep My Games & Apps.
