update error

ok my net *** up recently and has been really slow. then i had to get the october update and is not letting me online with out it like with the day one update. and i cant use the offline diagnostic tool because it keeps giveing me an unspecifyed error when
trying to extract the files to the flashdrive. i had this problem before when i first got the xbox one and one of the people at gamestop took it to their house to update it for me and said they did the offline diagnostic useing some other program than the
one on the xbox.com support page. any one know what i can do to fix this because i cant get back online with out the update.

Minecraft Update Error

I went to try out Minecraft on xb1 today. I updated it to the latest patch and it freezed my xbox. I shut it down completely and then I restarted the console. Tried to play minecraft again and now the game won't start. Anyone else get this problem?

I was playing it about an hour ago no problems on X1.

 

I would post this in the preview program section the team will be able to help you.

the only thing i can think of is trying hard reset and also unplugging your console from the socket may work may not.but for sure post this in the preview section aswell mate

 

if you can give me a link to that because i cant find were or what the preview section is.

 

If you are not participating in the previwe program this is no solution for you!

There is no other way to get back online but installing the October update. As you already know the only solution to have it updated if your internet connection is unable to handle the data volume of the online update than you have to use the OSUDT with
the latest OSUDT2 file to update.

May you please give some more infomation about the error you experienced on that? Maybe try downloading it to a different computer and have it transfered to your thumb drive there? Check out the tutorial video on how to prepare your thumb drive for the OSUDT
and be sure your antivirus or internet security is not blocking any needed functions.

Are you having a chance to take your One to a friends home and have it updated there?

At all the october update is not that big, so it should be possible somehow to have it downloaded online. Maybe try downloading it at night?

 

i have tryed it on all of my computers here........have turned off all antivirus/firewalls. followed all totorials. and even talked to a guy on the support whos only option was to try to buy a new flashdrive. i dont have anyone near by to try it at there
place right now. i went and did a full factory restor and instead of stoping at 2% like with the october update now it stops at 71 for the day one update all over again. the guy who updated it for me at gamestop is looking for the thing he used to update
it before because i beleave he said he used something other than the offline diagnostic. so i am waiting for his reply. if he is unable to find what he did before and taking it to another persons house to do the update dosent work then i have no idea what
else to do because then i would have tryed everything suggested to me

 

So what about trying to use a different flash drive? They used to be pretty cheap nowadays as you only need a smaller one for the OSUDT.

Btw there is no other offline update solution than the OSUDT, so if not using this he may have done an online update somewhere.

 

A thing to think about...is the flash drive or USB been formatted correctly? From the sounds of whats going on, you might just need to reformat the usb or flash drive to NTFS file.

yes its formated right..........and i got another when i went to check with the guy at the gamestop. and im still getting the error when trying to copy the osudt to the flashdrive. if he calls back and dosent have a solution to help me then the only
thing left to try is to try to get to some one elses house and try to do it there. if that dosent work then i dont know...........i went though every single posablity with a guy i talked to in support and nothing helped. includeing useing a new flash drive
