I went to try out Minecraft on xb1 today. I updated it to the latest patch and it freezed my xbox. I shut it down completely and then I restarted the console. Tried to play minecraft again and now the game won't start. Anyone else get this problem?

That error could be an issue with region. Which country do you live in and which country is your gamertag set to?

offline update and see if that will help you out!

 

I updated my xbox360 with the new Live update. It downloaded most of it, turned off to reset and gave me the 3 red rings. Now I have an expensive brick, because your update broke it.. out of warranty. Is this your business model to get people to buy the
Xbox one? Fry their old equipment so they have to buy new?

 

3 red rings usually means a hardware fault with either the console or the power bar. How long have you had your console. More than likely it is just coincidence that the console broke while you are updating.

 

No onyx it's not coincidence when this is starting to happen to more and more people. This is Microsofts attempt to improve the One sales since they're clearly lagging behind Sony's PS4. Don't worry you failed because the next system I buy certainly won't
be the One.

 

Sorry you feel that way. However, I have two 360 consoles that updated fine with no issues.

 

Having an issue with the update as well. And where I have not had the red rings issue I have been having a hard time updating recent updates. Where I have had to try it several times during the day to finally get it to work. However this new update I
have been trying for 3 days to install. Has not worked. Tried the flash drive way twice didn't work. Burn the CD it applys to about 3/4 of the way then says System Update Failed. Status code 4174-417F-B900-2508-C000-0185. Can you help? Live in Florida

 

I'm having the same problem. But my code ends in 000e. Really hope microsoft looks into this problem. Cant update console online, or offline.

 

After the most recent update, 9/2/2014, my Xbox 360 is suffering video and sound problems. The graphics will cut out (blank screen), and/or freeze with a pixilated screen. The sound is now cutting out intermittently. I haven't found a remedy. The unit
worked flawlessly before the update.

 

***UPDATE*** Dealt with a tech online for about 30 mins. Nothing worked, except now whenever I power my Xbox on it defaults to the "System Update stopped" screen and I can't go anywhere else. So my console is completely useless. Can't even get to the
home screen. Worked perfectly fine before the update, now I have a $100 paper weight. Not thrilled.
