    we have an Xbox one x. We were away for a couple of months. When we returned and plugged it in it wanted an update to occur before we could go online. The update downloads but it can not be applied. It says something is wrong with the update.
    It appears a couple of updates have come out and we have none of them. I have checked connection and it is good. I have rebooted he Xbox by holding the. Upton in for ten seconds and then turning off and unplugging. Waiting at least 30 seconds and then turning
    back on. Nothing seems to work and we now have an Xbox that won’t go online and is effecively useless. Can anyone help? Otherwise I a am going to return it’s because it does not do whatever it was advertised to do.

    Update does not work

    The nearest code to yours is 0x8B050033 code tends to mean that the update is unavailable at this time, but the code you posted seems to be appearing a lot lately.

    use the offline update at Xbox One System Updates | Offline System Updates to see if this resolves the problem for you.
