    Im part of the preview ring 4 in the xbox insider program and as i updated the console today (29/07/17) which was about 3gb my xbox did a factory reset after it and im not sure why?

    Hey Big Tyler,

    I'd be happy to provide some input. So it seems like the new Xbox Avatar app is not properly loading for you. When you say that your reset your Xbox are you referring to a

    soft factory reset    ? That may help as the issue may have been caused by a bad system update.

    I think my Xbox is dying...

    My launch Xbox One has been doing something similar to your power on issue for years. Press the button, refuses to turn on even though it makes the audio confirmation that the button has been pressed until I hard reset the unit.

    So good news, at least in my case the console has been doing it for years off and on with no escalating issues.
    Given that there was a large update recently I'd suggest factory reseting the console before buying a new one or shipping it off for repairs. The appearance of the slow performance and button issue could be coincidental with the slow performance caused by a bad update. Just make sure you backup your games on an external drive so you don't have to redownload or reinstall if you can avoid it.

    I'm stuck on 66%. i'm going to leave the insider program as soon as its sorted.

    You did read the terms before joining?

    Had no issues with the latest update myself.

    Its updated and done a full factory reset. wiped everything. joke. preview program is broken. no support from xbox either.
