Update bricked my console?

So I was stuck in the endless update loop (preview member). After updating 10 times I reset the box by holding the three buttons, followed by the reset menu. Same result, but now I didn't have the option to stay offline to at least watch tv.

I don't own a Windows PC so I had to download the offline update from work--when I got home the console wouldn't even power up. I called support and got the canned broken English troubleshooting procedure--no help at all.

Now Microsoft wants $135 to fix a console that was broken by an update that they pushed out--does this seem fair?

Well this 'amazing' update bricked my console. Best update ever!

It's best to post in the preview program forums regarding any issues with the latest Xbox one experience.

If you get a message that states that the group cannot be found PM a mod so they can grant you access to those parts of the forums.
