Update and downloads not starting or saying installation stop

My solution was to plug my Xbox one X directly into the wall as it was plug into a power adapter.

Turn off instant-on mode untick the automatic updates/ keep my games & apps undated

this was the correct solution for stoping the Xbox forcing the Download/ Disc install to stop as it was trying to download/update all games at once neven tho I had one game in the Queue.

I also had to do an offline update via USB all info is on the Xbox web site but above solution took over 6 hours of looking at third party forums posted back in 2014/15/16

So I would like if someone at Xbox to put on the web site this solution.

Note... I am part of the Alph Xbox insider preview program and haven't had an issue in the past.

I had 3 separate Xbox one consols the Xbox day one, Gears of war collaters edition and the Xbox One X with no issue. I think this may have been an isolated incident as there was no one posting on the Xbox forums and the only YouTube videos were at least
two years old.

I would also like to add that since the last update some content is unable to be read via the external drive for some reason and must be installed to the internal drive. Obviously this only applies to those with external drives.

This has happened to me I have 3x external HD (total of 8TB) to my Xbox X.

If it continues to not read the HD you need to reformat it.
