[/quote]After reading the article, I have to say that I'd be upset for the most part. Although it's good to give the developers more available power, I don't think it's necessary, especially at the cost of the Kinect. It sounds as if they're effectively
abandoning motion controls entirely, which defeats half of the reason why we have the Kinect (although arguably not the better half). And for what exactly? Framerate? I have had absolutely NO issues with framerate whatsoever with the 7 games during the 4 months
that I have owned them thus far, whether it ran at 30fps or 60 fps.

Now, if this supposed change allows the developers to choose whether to use that 8% partition for either framerate or the Kinect motion, then that's fine - that helps give the developers choice (after all, it couldn't hurt for games that aren't Kinect-enabled
to use the extra partition then available to it) & is a win-win scenario, but if it's always going to be 1 over the other (in either direction), than I'm afraid I will most definitely disagree with the decision, because that's a win-lose scenario.

Basically, if you have trouble following thus far, I will try to simplify it for you:

Win-win - developers choose whether they want the extra partition for more fps or better motion-control, whichever they prefer; it's up to them.

Win-lose - the partition either goes entirely to the Kinect's motion controls (which is the way it is now) or to fps (what sounds like is going to happen).

^^ Of the 3 options above (1 win-win & 2 win-lose), I prefer the win-win; if it's that, then I agree with it; however, if it's not, then I don't agree with it at all.

Also, the articles states that "the console can't manage much above 30fps" - this is in fact untrue; we've already seen games that can run at 60fps just fine. Up to this point, it's always been up to the developers. The console can run higher than 30fps just
fine...

 

i read that respawn are working with microsoft to bring a better upscaler to the xbox one and i also heard microsoft are updating the SDK no idea how true any of this is but the respawn working with microsoft was reported by the same guy that reported the
filmware for the xbox controller

 

None of this explains why they give a date and then to be vague by saying the end of the week

making them selves look like they have not got a clue, i am sure this all adds up to bad press which in turns leads to bad sales figures

 

I sincerely hope that the update appears when I get home this evening! By 'the end of the week' would mean that Friday is the latest we would get the patch no?

 

So you guys have never started a project that you thought it would take a couple hours and ended up taking the whole day! Sur glad you guys live in a perfect world, i don't, *** happens all the time!

ANYWAY wheres the update already,they said friday.

 

Why is it so hard to be patient? The update will come... Have faith. They delayed it for a reason. Would you prefer they pushed it, unfinished, and it brick your console? I'm gonna go with NO.

 

Project!! Yes started a few, never spoke out my backside in regards to completing them plus i don't run a multi billion pound/dollar company that is meant to do this thing every day and should foresee these things, they have f**ked up on top of a f**k up
plain & simple and people who do make excuses for them are bonkers, this is not a hic up its a f**k up

I believe the recent players list is being added in the next update in March
