Upcoming System Update Details

I see only a few key things like managing hdd space and fixing party chat a month or so from now was mentioned. I'd like to see issues fixed like streaming from PC...fixing DTS surround sound issues...adding USB hdd storage or allowing an upgrade to a 1
or 2 terabyte hard drive through a MS exchange program. Also a big one is sign in security passwords and i'd like to see security apps added for location tracking of your expensive toy. I'd pay a one time fee to be able to track my Xbox one in the event
of being stolen...they have these for internet connecting phones so I don't see why this would be a problem implementing for the One.

I notice that TV, Xbox Music, Xbox Video and IE are at the bottom 4 squares. Does anyone know (or want to speculate) do you think these are going to be locked into those locations? I heard in the past some people didn't like their most recently used items
there since Pins are so close. You think they updated that? I personally hope not, as I only use the TV really out of those 4 items.

 

I also hope they won't be locked. I wouldn't mind them being customizable though, as it's some real prime estate there. Like just have em as pins too but you could somehow specify what you want to pin there. Like.. "favourite pin" or something. I don't mind
the recently used either, though. But I never start Xbox music/video directly, when I happen to PlayTo, they automatically launch and that's all the use I have for them.

 

they're not locked. it's still for recent items.

 

Im thinking along the lines it will be even more like windows 8 on the pc,everything movable,full lock to start(home) in xb1 case,or heading to that fully in the long run.

 

I am very happy that one of my big compaints witht the console is getting fixed :

I really hate it not being able to manage the HDD.

Hoping they fix burning cd's to the Xbox One hard drive option. That would make me happy! Oh also a NHL and UFC App!!!

Good things come to those who wait. Sounds like a pretty decent update and only the first of many improvements ms will roll out. Very excited to see where they take this system!!

This is great news. 1 caveat, I hope they implement a recent players list as well as a notification when friends sign in...

Well they do! And having selectable option to which gives notifications whould be even better. The Xbox One feels lifeless and dead to me without this feature. And I certainly will never have 1000 friends lol .....I'll stick to my select few thanks.

 

Try popping in a DTS HD blu ray disk and it wont be in sync
