    Controller bricked after firmware update

    An upcoming update to the accessories app will enable continuing update for a controller left in DFU mode. I will post a message here once available, for those unable to update.

    You do need a cable because when i went to update the controller it said to use a usb cable and dont move the controller during the update

    Genchy m8,you will get the controller update,when the march update lands,there has been no controller update yet.And from what I know its very good.

    Guess who deleted their beta invite yesterday by mistake?it does get better,lmao!

    Cheers for the info guys. Thought the play and charge kit would do. Does anyone know where the update will appear for the controller?

    Just to clarify things, the update to the controllers sensitivity was with the update everyone got in Feb.

    The controller update coming in March (the update being beta tested now) just adds support for the new headset that's releasing.

    Hawker, go to your settings, then system settings. The option to update is at the bottom of the list.

    I only have the Feb update on my One, but do not see any option to update the controller. Are you sure it came with the Feb update?

    Edit: Ok, I'm probably being stupid. You obviously mean that the sensitivity update was included in Feb but did not require any manual updating. The new controller update will require a cable to apply firmware changes.

    But I have a few buddies who have play & charge kits who have not been asked to do the same.

    Also why would Microsoft ask people to perform an update that they can't perform unless they own a play & charge kit?

    Something's not right here.
