Generally it takes more than one report/complaint before someone is suspended. This is to prevent people from being suspended for unwarranted or unfair claims of abuse.

the Xbox enforcement team is worthless, all they have accomplished is the breeding of a toxic environment where butt-hurt children and angry players can report and ban people, just because they’re angry, I can promise you that almost all reported remarks
are not reported out of offense, but rather rage and spite... the enforcement team has gave toxic players the means to destroy the Xbox community. And on top of all of this, the team takes no context into account, and are just ban-happy employees who’s only
job is to ban people, which they have to do if they don’t want their department to be down sized, so they make it look like they’re important and needed by handing out unwarranted bans to loyal customers. I know no one important will read this, much less act
on it, but the enforcement actions have gotten out of control... while not all actions and bans are unwarranted, maybe even the majority are warranted, but enough are completely unwarranted to justify outrage. I mean people are paying a lot of money to play
on the Xbox, just to receive a communications ban for saying “u mum gay”. This needs to stop... like now.

The only way that you would have been suspended is if you violated the code of conduct and was reported to the Microsoft enforcement team you can find a copy of the code of conduct here https://www.xbox.com/en-US/Legal/codeofconduct

Even if someone reports you as long as you do not violate the code of conduct you will not get a suspension put onto the account.

If you feel that the suspension was unwarranted you can file for a case review by going to the enforcement teams website at enforcement.xbox.com

The enforcement team does not monitor these forums they only handle things through their website.

There is a way to block and mute other players so that you do not see any of those messages again from that player.

If you reported that player for the message that they sent to you the enforcement team will not let you know what the status of their investigation of the report is.

The xbox live reputation system is supposed to be able to filter out unwarranted reports (i.e if someone reports you for no reason it doesn't affect your rep). This however, is far from the truth. The reputation system is extremely easy to abuse and literally
all someone has to do is report you for cheating when you beat them and the system sees the report as legitimate.

When it comes to messaging the enforcement team investigate it themselves, but for every other report they rely on this deeply flawed and easily abused system.
