Unwanted username change (someone else changed it without my authority)

I have been playing online with this man for almost six years now and one day he told me that we should share one of my accounts to gain experience quicker. Since I had known this man for so long I felt I would be about to trust him, but eventually the
idea did not work out. I talked to him and told him to stop using my account until the problem was solved, but he continued to use it. Eventually changed my gamer tag using the credit card that I had previously forgotten to take off of my account. He used
that money to buy other things for himself suck as a gold membership and a video game. I was wondering if I would be able to have a refund or if the changes can be removed from both of our accounts?

Sharing accounts is against the user agreement. I would suggest you change the password to the account and the security information, also any other accounts he may have access too.

As far as the items he purchased on the account, you would need to talk to billing, but just to let you know, since you freely shared your log in information you may need to chalk it up to life lesson.

I would also remove the payment method from the account and turn on 2 step verification.

For any refunds you would need to try submitting a refund request.
However, I do not believe gamertag changes can be refunded.

Otherwise, you should also change your password and note that it does violate the code of conduct to share account information (no matter how well you know the person).

Never trust anyone with your log in credentials. This kind of thing happens all the time and since you provided him with what he needed you are most likely out everything he spent and will have to pay to change your gamertag.

Unfortunately i don't think a refund would be given, even with proof that he had done said deed, your account is your account. You should never give anyone access to it and xbox have provided multiple safe guarding measures to make sure your account is
secure.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you're stuck with it like the others have said. It still doesn't hurt to try though.
