Unwanted Gamertag changed

Hello, I am wondering if anyone can help me out. My Infant changed my gamertag from ZanyBigFoot9 to . I want to change it back. He only changed it in the last week or so. The strange part is that I created the account back in January when
I got the machine and The free gamertag change was only good for the first 14 days. So I do not know how this was possible. Please assist.

Delete Xbox account

You can't delete gamertags, you would need to create a 4th e-mail to move the unwanted gamertag away.

 

Removing Microsoft-account from Xbox Live account

So by making a third email adress I can link the unwanted gamertag with the new adress, and then i can link both my two older email adresses to the desired gamertag?

Is there any chance that you were charged for the gamertag change? and just haven't noticed it yet? Sounds a little odd that it would be able to be changed by "accident" as like you said the free change doesn't last very long. May be worth checking your
bank details for any charges.

The new tag does not look like one of the random forced change tags, So i would certainly write that off.

Unfortunately it may be the case that you will have to pay to change it back, as all members are charged for gamertag changes when not within the 30 day period.

 

You can check all purchases on your account at commerce.microsoft.com. If the tag was changed there should have been a $10 charge for the change.

However, as mentioned above if you would like to change the tag again you would need to pay the amount to do so.

 

That is the weird part. I have checked my account and there is no transaction. I chatted with the Microsoft Support and they do not show any transaction either. So, If there is no transaction with me or Microsoft, what will happen next?

 

I'm not sure if anything will happen, but if you want to change the gamertag again to something else (like the previous one) I would assume it will be charged.

All other things like gamerscore and save games etc are still correct and working?

 

Please contact back Xbox support to check what is the email address associated to your ReProvedTen and to your ZanyBigFoot9, there is a possibility that you have two different accounts.

 

Also changing gamertag back to the previous one cannot be done because the gamertag was already tagged by the Xbox System as used and it cannot be used anymore.

 

Actually if you change your gamertag it does free it up in the system to be used again.

console in private messages. You can send me a private message by clicking the envelope at the bottom of my post. You can find your serial number by going into Settings > System > Console Settings > System Info. Once I have that, I will bubble this information
up to the proper teams and we'll see if we can get you sorted out.
