Unwanted friends/followers

I recently came across someone being real nasty towards me and didn't want to deal with them anymore so I left the lobby I was in then next thing you know that person adds me as a friend and I couldn't do anything bout it. I don't want them knowing when
I'm online or what game I'm playing. I understand I could just block them or appear offline but I shouldn't have to and blocking them don't do anything your still on their friend list. You shouldn't have to be friends with someone if you don't want to.

Why am I not able to have the option of not having followers

I am constantly blocking people. It was bad enough having to reject hoards of unwanted Friend Requests. Its just doubles up the amount of completely unwanted intrusions. Come on M$ gives us the very basic right to our privacy and allow us to switch off this
follower nonsense

Sorry right now the only thing you can do is the block function. If they are doing something to violate the code of conduct you could also report them.

Block the accounts that you want to remove from your friends list. Although this method is not always 100% effective, it can sometimes help to remove the unwanted followers.

Unfollow the ghost account that is causing the issue. This may help to reset your friends list and remove the unwanted followers.

Check your privacy settings to ensure that your friends list is set to "Friends Only" or "Private." This can prevent unwanted followers from being added to your friends list.

Hi Mister Squinty,

How long has it been since you blocked this person but their profile still says you are their friend and that they still show up on your followers list?

If you haven't already done so, I recommend removing the block from this person and then blocking them again, then go ahead and do a

hard reset and power cycle. Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and
turn on the Xbox.

Check his profile and your follower list and see if anything changes. If not I recommend waiting at least 24 hours for the data to sync from Xbox Live.
