Unwanted Follower on Xbox One

I've read several posts from years ago with people who have the same issue as me. The moderators have all said the same thing and I understand this as well. We know that the blocking feature on Xbox One is to cease communications through messages and if
we message the blocked person, it will remove the block.

In the past on Xbox One, I've used the blocking feature as a way to remove followers that I did not want following my Xbox Live account. It's worked without fail and is the only way, other than people removing me off their friends list themselves, to get
people to stop following my account. 21 days ago, I've received a notification that a player followed me and I went to go block them. The block has removed me off their friends list. However, when I view their profile and look at the amount of friends they
have, I see "You + 634". Not to mention they still appear on my followers list and they are counted in the number of followers I have when I view my profile.

In one of the posts in October 2015, an ambassador and moderator asked a person to private message him the gamertags of the accounts that person wanted to remove along with a rough estimate of when that person tried to last block those gamertags. I cannot
see where to private message the moderator, nor can I access my private messages so I do not know how to proceed with trying to contact him. If any moderators could assist in this, please help me in removing this follower. Thank you.

Hi Mister Squinty,

How long has it been since you blocked this person but their profile still says you are their friend and that they still show up on your followers list?

If you haven't already done so, I recommend removing the block from this person and then blocking them again, then go ahead and do a

hard reset and power cycle. Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and
turn on the Xbox.

Check his profile and your follower list and see if anything changes. If not I recommend waiting at least 24 hours for the data to sync from Xbox Live.

Yes sometimes for me, And I'm convinced it's just me (maybe you too now) have to block someone or make whatever minor changes I need to the account. Then sign the profile out and back in for it to register, Try that it may help.

It could just be a glitch or cloud sync error, If they show as blocked then they should be blocked. Have you signed the profile out and back in again to refresh the new info? Also It's against forum rules to name other users like you have. That
could fall under the "naming and shaming " category

The Xbox App on my phone and Xbox Live both show the same thing. I have not tried that yet.

Private messaging is through Xbox Live now for the forums.

Out of curiosity, why are you concerned about followers? I'm not questioning the validity of your request, just wondering.

The player wasn't someone who I wanted to befriend because in the game that we were matched up in, his friend was being toxic. Since I don't want to add him as a friend, I don't want him following me or seeing what I'm up to.
