Unusual replacement part needed for Elite controller

I need a replacement of the back cover of the right handle of my Elite controller. It's the cover (with the rubber padding) you have to take off when trying to access the 2 screws behind it. I've looked in the service center and found that you only can order
the thumbsticks, D-pad and paddles. Unfortunately, there was no mention of other parts available. I'm willing to pay for the backcover (including shipping) and replacing it myself. For those who are interested how this part got damaged in the 1st place: My
cat knocked over a burning candle and the rubber padding got damaged in the process. The controller still works, but it's very irritating holding it and feeling the burned rubber constantly. I'm not interested in buying 3rd party parts and only want to use
official MS Xbox parts.

They give me no options there other than buying replacement parts for the swappable components (thumbsticks, paddles, d pad). Nothing about repair of the unit itself or replacement parts for the internals.

GoW 4 Elite controller replacement

I've got a service order for a replacement controller and was wondering which parts I should not send. I saw a page saying remove all removable parts ie. d-pads and thumb sticks, though I'm unsure if I should send USB cable and Case or just Controller itself.
I also am sending in a GOW 4 Elite Controller for replacement standard Elite Controller if this makes a difference.

Your best bet would be to buy a broken controller from ebay or similar, and use it as a donor model

You would need to try contacting support to see if there is anything they can do, but it is noted that when you send an elite controller in you should only send the controller. Nothing else is guaranteed to come back. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

Important If you do need to send your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller to our service center, do not send removable parts with your controller. They will not be returned to you. Keep all
the removable D-pads, paddles, and thumb sticks. You'll receive a replacement controller without these parts, so you'll need to use those original parts with the replacement controller.

My xbox elite controller 2 had an issue and wasn't responding correctly so I filed a claim to receive a replacement. Now I need to ship the controller in order to receive the replacement but what do I include when I ship the controller? In the directions
it says not to include removable parts but it is talking about the elite 1 and is not very clear.

If part of the issue is with the removable parts place everything in a sealable bag such as a ziplock or if you have the original package still place everything back in the box and ship. If the only faulty part is the controller itself then just send the
controller. I hope this was helpful for you in clearing up the instructions.

In order to find the removable parts to buy for an Elite controller you have to register your Xbox One and then register your Elite Controller under the accessories tab for your Xbox One.

I have yet to call about getting replacement paddles, but I will REFUSE to buy replacement paddles for something that I received defective. Microsoft needs to suck it up and supply replacements especially since demand is high for the controller and they
are hard to find in stock anywhere.
