Unusual messaging issue, no notifications and chats do not auto update - Xbox One

A problem started recently with my Xbox One. This seems to be limited to the Xbox as all accounts on the Xbox are affected, I have not been able to test the same accounts on other consoles.

To start, these methods of remedy have already been attempted:

Notifcations settings checked, turned off then on again. Turned off, power cycle, turn on.

Deleting profile from console then redownloading it.

Factory reset of console.

An oddity is that when playing emulated 360 games on said Xbox One, the Xbox 360 emulated interface messaging works flawlessly, this problem is specific to the Xbox One interface.

The problem seems to be that the Xbox in question is failing to maintain a connection to the Xbox One messaging service. Messages are not failing to load but require manual access to the chats to force a manual update of the chat. There is no error code
as the Xbox doesn't seem to realize there is an error.

All other notification functions including Xbox Party Text Chat function fine, invites function fine, there are no other signs of errors except for Xbox One specific messaging.

It may be unrelated but Xbox.com messaging failed to load for several refreshes, and messages remain on that despite some being over 3 years old. I have been told that messages auto-delete after 30 days, but this has not been true of Xbox One messaging,
for some reason. I have no use for messages older than 30 days so I miss this feature, as manual deletion is painfully slow.

Sending messages also generates an oddity, it never stops saying it is sending unless the chat is closed and re-opened. The message always succeeds in being sent regardless of what actually is shown, even if I then ignore the chat completely for a time.

Only one change has been made to the Xbox recently, the installation of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) but the problem started several days after this installation was complete and the game was played. No other changes have been made to the console or
profile.

The support page doesn't contain an option for messaging failures, which is annoying, and there is no email option. This appears to require technician attention rather than support staff.

Messaging has returned to normal inexplicably since I posted this, so I can only assume a technician has done something since the problem was ongoing for several days before this.

I don't know how to edit my posts on these forums so I'll leave this reply here.

No. I am using standard Xbox.

Messaging has somehow returned to normal since I posted this. after the problem has been ongoing for several days. If any technicians did something, I don't know what you did but thank you.

One of my friends notifications however has started malfunctioning on the same day but it seems like a different problem entirely.

if you have it set to auto update, you won't get a notification pop up. instead, what you'll see is a notification in your Notifications with the game tile there and a "Launch" option. that's how it works for people that have auto update enabled.
