    Unusual activity in Microsoft Account.

I got a mail from Microsoft stating that someone has used my account to login to Xbox. I reviewed the activity and changed my password. Added two factor authentication also. But apparently when I tried to log out of all the signed in devices, it shows that it can't sign me out of Xbox. As someone has used my account to sign into Xbox, I would like to log out from that session as well. Can someone help me with this ? I don't have an Xbox and have never used it.

    :)

    Unusual activity in Microsoft Account.

Hi, kk_97! thank you for reaching out.

My name is AJ, I'm an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.

Unfortunately, there is no way to remotely remove an account from an Xbox console. However, if you already changed your account's password and added 2FA, whoever's using your account on Xbox will be asked to provide your account's new password and 2FA the next time they try to sign in.

I'd also suggest reviewing your security information at https://account.live.com/proofs/manage/additional to make sure it's up to date.

Microsoft account unusual sign-in activity = Deleting Hotmail

This is a scam that originated in 2019. I, too, have been constantly changing my password -- thankfully, I looked up "why I keep getting this unusual sign-in activity" today -- and found it is a scam. I have changed my password again! But this time I changed it legitimately on the Microsoft Site -- not the link provided by the "authentic" email. I hope it provides enough protection, as any of the other passwords might afford someone to hack the other information attached to that account!

Microsoft locked my account for unusual activity.

Hi Bob F, my name is Courtney and I would be happy to help.

I'm sorry to hear that your account has been blocked. I know how frustrating it can be when this happens. Let's say that the only alternative you have at this moment is to send the account recovery form (It is the only way to recover access to your account), I have also been through this situation, so I can give you some recommendations:

The first thing is to enter information that the account has, in case a phone number or card has been deleted, you should simply omit that information and not add it to the form. That said, you can enter the following link:

    https://account.live.com/acsr

Please note that Support cannot help recover accounts, but in that case, if you want to contact them and talk in a live chat for more detailed information, you can access the following link.

    Support: https://support.xbox.com/contact-us/

Please note that this is a Microsoft public forum, where we are gamers like you trying to guide/help other gamers solve basic problems they are having, this means we are not Microsoft employees.

    Courtney.

If you received an email or SMS alerting you to an unusual sign-in attempt to your account, but you haven't done anything unusual with your account recently, follow these steps to review your account security:

Sign in to the Security Basics page of your Microsoft account.

Select Analyze Activity to check for unusual sign-in attempts on the Recent Activity Page. If you see account activity that you're not sure is yours, let us know and we can help protect your account. If it's in the Unusual Activity section, you can expand the activity and select It wasn't me. If you're in the Recent Activity section, you can expand the activity and select Protect Your Account.

If you think someone might have accessed your account, go back to the Security Basics page and select Change Password. Create a strong password that you can remember and don't share it with anyone. You can use the Authenticator app to improve your security: https://support.microsoft.com/accou...nticator-9783c865-0308-42fb-a519-8cf666fe0acc

Hope I helped and see you soon
