Unusable Gamertag that doesn't exist?

Hi, I've been trying to change my gamertag every where and there for years to a specific variation of it(it's what I originally tried to change it to), and for years now I've never been able to get that gamertag. Now why would I try for years to get a gamertag
that's already taken? The chance of them changing it are surely slim, right? Well, the fun part of this problem, is that NOBODY is actually using this gamertag(ChrisoManiso), it doesn't exist, no profile on the Xbox Site, you can't add them on Xbox Live, and
I even spoke to customer support on the live chat and he himself says that it doesn't seem to be in use, but for some reason I can't get it.(He says it might've been a deleted gamertag or something.)

He says I could possibly come here and maybe send in a request for the ability to use the gamertag and that a team would look into why I couldn't use that specific gamertag that I've been yearning for, for years. It's so frustrating to have my name be pronouced
wrong all the time just because I have two "Z"s and not two "S"s. If my request gets accepted and someone makes it so I can actually use this gamertag it'd be GREATLY appreciated. I've wanted this since my Xbox 360 days, and since I'm getting an Xbox One
this sunday, what better day to christen my return to live than with the gamertag I always wanted?

Do you think Microsoft will clear out old unused gamertags?

Do you think Microsoft will ever clear out the old unused gamertags that have not ever been actually used or have had their last activity 7+ years ago?

 

Original gamertag is inaccessible & GLITCHED due to a inactive spaced version

There are thousands and thousands of gamertags that were released yesterday that are not usable. Inactive spaced versions have made many OG Gamertags unusable.

 

Well either you live with the z in your name or come up with another spelling

Gamertags are not an ondemand service

If the system says it is taken then it is taken

Also its not supports duty to check every variation of your name you will have to come up with your own way of spelling it

.chrisomaniso is the same as chrisO Maniso to the system but unless you type the exact spelling abd spacing it will bot show up under search for friends

But the system will recognize it when you take the name

 

Just to add,gamertags are used on other services,not just xbox live so there is no way to know whether it's taken for sure.

As mentioned,if it says it's unavailable then it's unavailable,there's nothing you can do.

 

I did talk to support about this... he said himself the name doesn't seem to exist. I'm just posting here because he told me to. Mistakes happen all the time in technology.

 

Yeah,unfortunately phone/chat support often tell you that if they don't know the answer.

 

The thing is support doesnt check every. Variavke combination kf the name

Thwy tyoe it exactly the way you tell them to

If you dont mention the infinite number of spaces possible they cannot check it it only shows you the one combination

Andnno theu cannot check for you the various combinations.

 

It is your job to test any variation of the name

Good luck finding the exaction combination used.if ymi were you just live with the name or change the letters

Thetr is no way as mentioned before as ut is not an ondemand service to check for you

 

If the system says ut is taken as daft abd me mentioned then ut is taken whenever there is a soace or 3 in tbd name and thats why it doesnt show up or you arent checking the right service
