    Out of the blue my Xbox One has stopped connecting to my wireless network. It had previously been connected perfectly fine for about 2 months. Now it struggles to connect and when it does I get download speeds of anywhere from 2 mbps to 0.08 mbps, which
    are completely unusable.

    My network is perfectly stable, when running a speed test on my laptop sitting next to the router I get download speeds of 40-50 mbps, when I am in the same room (downstairs from the router) as the xbox sitting about 3 feet away I get download speeds of
    20-30 mbps, still 100% usable.

    I have tried playing around with my routers settings; swapping security from WPA2 to WPA, changing the channel, putting the Xboxs IP in the DMZ, enabling port forwarding, and nothing has helped. Xbox chat support had me disconnect, delete the temp storage,
    delete the secondary mac address, delete and re-download my profile, then reconnect and this didn't help either. Again, this Xbox was previously working fine.

    As of right now my Xbox is completely useless and I have no ideas as to how to fix it, please help any suggestions are welcome.

    5 months later and not a thing has changed, lol

    I checked out various speed test websites & realized that the closer I am to the speed test location I chose, the better the results (this seems natural considering the speed of information over shorter vs. longer distances). My best results however, came
    up as 6.62 download speed with a 2.43 upload speed. Ping hovered around 45. According to most speed test websites this seems to be perfectly average, which explains why over half of my games are really good & the other half are really bad (connection-wise).

    Post here if you have high ping and packet loss

    I'm on AT&T U-verse and my connection to xbox live (xbox one) is terrible. I've had AT&T out to my house 4 times and I still have an unacceptable connection to xbox live. I suspect that whoever MS is using for their peering partner has network bottlenecks
    at many of the providers. Unfortunately it's impossible for us as consumers to prove this to MS or AT&T. AT&T has me run speed tests and they look fine. MS has me run speed tests and they are fine. Multi-Player is NOT fine.

    If you have similar issues please post with the following format:

    Provider: AT&T

    Ping: 79ms (spikes to 200ms)

    Download Speed: 17Mbs

    Upload Speed: 1.5Mbs

    Download Packet Loss: 1%

    Upload Packet Loss: 4%

    Status code issue

    If your download speed is that far out of sync with your upload speed (typically download is faster than upload on consumer Internet connections) you may have some other issues. Are you on a wired or wireless connection?

    Download speed is directly linked to your internet connection speed. It will vary for everyone and is determined by your internet service provider. To find out your download speed; go to Settings>Network Settings>Detailed Network Statistics.

    Update: After the orignal connection the speeds started to drop until the setup was unusable. Both Xboxes had open NAT but the connection speeds were "unplayable slow". After much trial and errors including changing to a Linksys E2000. THe E2000 had the
    correct speeds but WOULD NOT allow for open NAT on both Xboxes.Everything abotu the E200 was excellent. So I pourchased a new DIR 655 (DLink Extremene Gigabit Router) and the speeds returned and both Xboxes will connect with open NAT.. It seems the orignal
    DIR 655 was bad but when replaced with a new DIR 655, all is well right out of the box standard setup but I turned off "WAN Traffic Shaping". Summary: DR 655 will connect 2 Xboxes with open NATbut the DIR 655 is "fragile"?

    Hi there,

    Are you using WiFi connection or wired connection to connect to Xbox Live?

    Basically your download speed depends on your internet download speed.

    It your internet is not a High Speed Internet service, it may take some time to finish your download. If you have a High Speed Internet, try using wired connection.

    That's not normal at all, and likely has something to do with your internet connection or speed. Are you connected to a strong internet connection? I would check your speed with it because it sounds like it's downloading at a very low speed. I knew someone
    who lived out in the country and had very, very slow internet. It would often take him 3 days to download a big AAA game.
